Meet Joy White
Joy White is an American actress known for her work in the Amazon Prime series “A Series of One: The Stranger,” directed by the late Stephen Mitchell. She also starred as the lead in the Season 4 premiere of TV One's “For My Man.” In 2017, she received a Best Actress award for her performance as Silky in “Hott Boyz,” directed by Ray Mickens.
More recently, Joy has earned several awards for her portrayal of civil rights activist Dovey Roundtree in the 2025 film “Dovey's Promise,” directed by Ralph Cinque and produced by Michelle Lipscomb. She has collaborated with this team again for her latest role in the film “In God's Hands.”
Now, Joy brings her passion for storytelling and authentic human connection to the screen as the host of Just Out Do Yourself — where every guest's journey from their beginnings to their now is celebrated and shared with the world.
